The sweet brisket looks like jsut the thing I need for lunch today. Ohh so good, and totally worth the time cooking it!

Happy Hanukkah to you too! These all sound delicious. I hate that the holiday is so early this year, but then you put a plate of latkes or a cider doughnut in my face, and suddenly I’m in the holiday spirit.

Jen – I’ve got a small bone to pick with Hannukah this year precisely because it is so early and sneakily appeared mere days after TG. Not fair, say I.

My brother’s girlfriend from the East Coast was just telling me about apple cider donuts. Her mother used to half them and fry them in butter till they were warm and crispy. We were all drooling at the description. Must make!

they look delicious….if I can make a comment on the photography
your photos would work better if you didn’t use such a short depth of field.

go to manual and stop down to f22 and meter to see which shutter speed will work best. you may even have setting to match your f stop
    they could be gorgeous….
